Chapter One: Introduction
1.1 Background of the Study
Tourism development plays a vital role in the economic and cultural growth of any region. In Jos South Local Government, Plateau State, known for its scenic landscapes and cultural heritage, print media is a significant promoter of tourism. Newspapers and magazines highlight tourist destinations, events, and cultural attractions, thus drawing attention to the region’s potential.
